AIIMS doctors plan protest march

NEW DELHI: The anti-reservation group of resident doctors at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here is planning to take out a protest march from Maulana Azad Medical College to Supreme Court on Saturday.

"We will protest against the recent passage of the Bill on reservations in Parliament. We want people to know that the concept of 27 per cent reservation does not affect only the medicos but also the general public. All other institutions that have been supporting us so far will participate in the march," said AIIMS Resident Doctors' Association president Kumar Harsh on Thursday.

Ballet on peace

and unity

NEW DELHI: Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti is organising a ballet to commemorate the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi's adoption of the philosophy of "satyagraha". The ballet will be staged at Kirti Mandap on Tees January Marg here on Friday.

Dr. Chitra Krishnamurti and her troupe "Nrityalaya" from the School of Indian Classical Odissi Dance, Maryland, will present the ballet based on the theme of peace and unity through truth and non-violence.

New features on Delhilive.com

NEW DELHI: Delhilive.com, the community-based portal for all-round information on the Capital, has added new features to the website including discussion forums, polls and news bots. Information on Delhi is collected from various sources and then filtered for presentation.

The portal has also introduced polls and discussion forums for the user community to participate. The website will also feature keyword-based search to help members navigate through the contents easily. Members can also open a dialogue with the authors of posts and articles posted on the website.
