HYDERABAD: Four days after the new State police chief, M.A. Basith, assumed charge, the Government replaced the Police Commissioners of Hyderabad and Cyberabad on Thursday. Six other senior IPS officers were also given new postings. Balwinder Singh on deputation with the Central Vigilance Commission, will replace Hyderabad Police Commissioner A.K. Mohanty, who will take over as Additional D.G. (Law and Order) of Police. Cyberabad Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy was shifted as Inspector General of Computer Services and Standardisation in the DGP office. This department has been created newly. Anti-Corruption Bureau Director S. Prabhakar Reddy was posted in his place. Santosh Mehra was posted as the new ACB Director. Police Communications Director S.K. Jayachandra was transferred and posted as DG of Prisons and Director of Correctional Services. N.V. Surendra Babu, IGP (ISO), was posted as City Police Additional Commissioner (co-ordination). IGP, Police Computer Services, Vinay Ranjan Ray, was transferred as IGP (Police Communications).
