HYDERABAD: Film star and president of Talli Telangana Party Vijayashanti has denied any plans to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). At a news conference here on Thursday, she said that there was no basis in reports that she was going to join the TRS. There was no occasion at all when she discussed the issue with the TRS leadership. Ms. Vijayashanti criticised the reported remarks by TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao that she was planning to join his party. He could not decide her future. He owed an explanation in this regard, she said, and asked Mr. Rao as to why he was trying to create confusion in the minds of people. The film star announced that she would lead a seven-hour hunger strike by her party supporters at Indira Park on Monday. The agitation would be taken up to express solidarity with the struggles of farmers demanding nine-hour power supply. She would reach the venue in procession from Talli Telangana Party office at Jubilee Hills.
