Freedom fighter's wife to get pension after 17 years

VELLORE: Seventy-two-year-old Rani, the widow of freedom fighter R. Venugopal, who has been fighting with the government for freedom fighter's pension for more than 17 years obtained a favourable order from the Collector of Vellore.

Ms. Venugopal had filed her application under the Right To Information (RTI) Act with the help of the RTI help centre run by the Anti-Corruption Movement (ACM) in Vellore.
