THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: India Posts is organising the 36th Universal Postal Union Letter Writing Competition on January 7. The theme is `Imagine you are a wild animal whose habitat is threatened by environmental and climate change.' The letter, not exceeding 1,000 words, should be addressed to the people explaining to them what they can do to help you survive. In addition to the centres at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur and Lakshadweep, special venues in schools are permitted this year to encourage more students to take part in the programme. The competition will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
