Dry weather

CHENNAI: Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

The minimum temperatures fell at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, rose appreciably at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, rose at one or two places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, rest Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal at a few places over north interior Karnataka, appreciably below normal at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, below normal at many places over Kerala, at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, rest Telangana, rest Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, above normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Bijapur and Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Sunday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

Frost Warning: Ground frost may occur at a few places over the hill ranges of Nilgiris district during next two nights.
