A daredevil attempt

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Picture this. A person dressed with a straitjacket and suspended upside down at a height of 40 feet trying to wriggle out of it within two minutes.

L. Arun will be performing the risky feat for a social cause at Presidency College here on January 5.

Mr. Arun, affected by polio at a very young age, will perform the escape stunt at 11 a.m. to create awareness among the youth about AIDS.

The disability has never been an impediment for Mr. Arun to learn magic skills and escape stunts. A lawyer by profession, he will perform the stunt with the motto prevention is better than cure. A straitjacket is a garment in which the ends of the jacket can be tied to the back of the person, so that their arms are kept close to their chest.
