Last date extended

VELLORE: The last date for photographing and verification as part of the exercise of preparing photo electoral rolls in Vellore district has been extended till January 20.

Vellore Collector said in a release that out of the total of 22,63,740 voters in the district, 2,64,788 voters were yet to be photographed. Government officials, equipped with cameras, would visit the houses of voters to photograph them. In case the residents are not present in their house at the time of the officials' visit, they are requested to visit taluk offices concerned and get themselves photographed or submit their passport size photographs.
