Puducherry: The Lt. Governor issued orders on Tuesday reallocating subjects among IAS officers, an official release said. Chief Secretary Pradip Mehra would hold charge of Confidential and Cabinet Department, General Administration Department, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Home (excluding Fire Service), Administrative Reforms Wing and the subjects of Departmental Inquiries and Vigilance. C.V.S. Rama Rao had been allocated Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare, Fire Service, Enforcement Cell and Freedom Fighters Cell. A.K. Chaturvedi is assigned the post of Coordinating Secretary (Civic Elections) as well as Departments of Local Administration, Finance, Commercial Taxes, Accounts and Treasuries, Planning and Research and Economics and Statistics vice B.V. Selvaraj transferred. Mr. Selvaraj has been transferred and posted as Administrator of Lakshadweep. A.C. Verma has been allocated Transport, Town and Country Planning, Housing, Power, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Labour and Education. A. Anbarasu has been earmarked PWD, Cooperation, Tourism, Stationery and Printing, Information and Publicity, Science Technology and Environment and Port. T.M. Balakrishnan has been allocated Social Welfare, Adi Dravidar Welfare, Women and Child Development, Health, Revenue, Registration, Survey and Land Records, Excise, Temple Administration and Wakfs and Industries and Commerce Departments. D.C. Sahoo had been earmarked Departments of Rural Development, Information Technology, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Agriculture. He is also Chairman of the DRDA and Puducherry Society for the Care of the Aged and of Puducherry Experimental Solar Pond Project.
