Kasaragod: Minister for Health P.K. Sreemathy has said the sale of sports lottery ticket in the district needs to be boosted, as it is poor compared to other districts in the State. She was addressing the media on the sidelines of a sports lottery review meeting at the Collector's office here. Ms. Sreemathy stressed the need for thrust at the district, block and panchayat levels to improve the sale of lottery tickets. She said 20 per cent commission of the sale of tickets would be provided. The Minister also said that 40 doctors would be appointed in the district on a daily wage basis by January 20.
