TIRUPATI: Tarigonda, a sleepy village in the semi-arid Vayalpadu taluk of Chittoor district, on Friday came alive with a team of TTD officials landing there to pay obeisance to the deity of saint-poetess Taridonda Vengamamba who was born in the village. The TTD despatched to the village a team of officials led by Bhuman, director of its `Sri Venkateswara Employees Training Academy' (SVETA), to involve villagers in the celebrations. As per the tradition, the TTD team offered to Vengamamba a new sari, turmeric powder, vermilion, flowers and fruits.
