ANANTAPUR: The Hindupur police took into custody a registered medical practitioner on Thursday evening on the charge of raping an 18-year-old-girl from Maharashtra, who went to him for treatment of epilepsy. The `doctor' also allegedly videographed the act after administering sedation on her. When the girl realised as to what had happened with her when she was not in her senses, the doctor warned her against revealing the case to anybody and threatened to show the video-clipping to others. According to the police, one Rafiullah Khan has been running Noor Healthcare and Pain Control Centre for the last 10 years and treating patients in acupuncture method. The girl came to his hospital three months ago along with her father for treatment. After examining the girl, the doctor advised her father to admit her in his hospital as he required in-patient treatment for a fortnight. The girl's father returned to Maharashtra after admitting her to get money. The doctor had been allegedly raping her since then. When the girl's sister visited Hindupur, she noticed some change in her sibling's attitude. The doctor tried to make the visitor believe that the patient's mental state was not good. Family members of the girl recently came to know that she was pregnant.
