HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam has dissolved and replaced all the district party committees with ad hoc panels, besides constituting a State election committee ahead of the organisational elections. Announcing the election schedule at a press conference here on Friday, party general secretary Kadiam Srihari said the process would begin with the State-level extended meeting of the party here on January 10.
Membership drive
Similar meetings would be held in district and mandals between January 21 and 25 in phases, he said. Membership drive would be taken up between January 28 and February 11. Elections would be held beginning with village/ward committees on April 6, followed by mandal/towns and then at the district level.
