CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government is disbursing Rs. 30 crores as unemployment allowance during current financial year, a senior functionary of the State Employment and Labour Department said here on Friday. He said the present Government led by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had raised the unemployment allowance by three times and also rationalised the conditions for availing of it. Now an unemployment allowance of Rs. 300 per month is being given to those educated unemployed who had either passed 10 plus two from any board recognised by the Haryana Government or university or done any two-year certificate or diploma course after matriculation. Earlier, an unemployment allowance of Rs. 100 per month was being given to those who had passed matric or higher secondary or senior secondary. And those educated unemployed who were either graduate or had higher degree or had done a certificate or diploma course of three-year duration after doing 10 plus two are now being given Rs. 500 per month instead of Rs. 200 earlier.
