KOLLAM: The district unit of the Kerala NGO Union organised a demonstration here on Friday in protest against the High Court verdict annulling provisions of the Kerala Professional Colleges Act 2006. District secretary of the union V.P. Jayaprakash Menon inaugurated the meeting held in this connection. He said that the Kerala Professional Colleges Act 2006 was moved and enacted to ensure social justice and end commercial exploitation of the education sector. He said the verdict would put students in a quandary. The union also staged a dharna in front of the civil station complex demanding 10 per cent reservation promotion for Class 1V employees.
