KARIMNAGAR: The Education Department is taking all measures for attaining more than 85 per cent pass in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in the district. Already, the syllabus for SSC students was completed in all schools barring some interior villages of Mahamutharam, Mallapur and Ibrahimpatnam mandals. The authorities have also decided to conduct two pre-final examinations in the first week and third week of February for the benefit of students. Talking to The Hindu , DEO R. Surender Reddy said that they have decided to give rewards to the top three highest scorers belonging to Government schools in the SSC examinations. He said that last year a Government school student from Peddapalli mandal had secured 534 marks in SSC exams and this year they were planning to surpass the previous score.
Revision in holidays
He said that the head masters were told to conduct revision and special classes for SSC students during the Sankranthi holidays also. Teachers were told to indentify the average and poor students and conduct special classes . An objective question bank for was also ready.
