Court fixes time for heritage building restoration work

HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the High Court on Friday gave directions, fixing time schedule for restoration work of the heritage building in old Gandhi Hospital complex, Basheerbagh.

Kedareswari, Director of Archaeology, appeared in person before the Bench and submitted a brief report on the current situation.

The Bench said that the Director should give a report and suggestions to the Heritage Committee of the HUDA within four days.

The committee and the Director should inspect the building and finalise the restoration and preservation plans to be submitted to the High Court on January 19.
