Gulzar inspects works

Municipal Commissioner Natarajan Gulzar on Friday inspected engineering works in progress in the corporation limits.

Inspecting works on side drains along the stretch of Bandar Road to Benz Circle, he directed the officials concerned to ensure use of quality material in construction works. He then examined works in progress for laying pipelines for underground drainage in Mogulrajpuram, Raghuram Street and Nagarjun Nagar.

Technofest-2007

Principal of Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (KLCE) L.S.S. Reddy on Friday inaugurated the two-day Technofest-2007, organised by the Department of Civil Engineering of KLCE.

Head of the Department of Civil Engineering of Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering, Machilipatnam, head of the Department of Civil Engineering, KLCE K. Ramesh Dean (consultancy) of KLCE P. Venkata Narsaiah also participated.

Membership drive

Members of Mahila Satta and Yuva Satta, two different wings of Lok Satta, conducted membership enrolment drive near various colleges in the city.

Bank's new record

Syndicate Bank has created a new record by bringing 101 branches, including over 45 in rural and semi-urban centres, into its Core Banking Solution (CBS) network in a single day on December 26. With this, the bank now has a network of 1,167 branches under CBS, spread across 570 centres, supplemented with 530 ATMs across the country, said C. P. Swarnakar, Chairman and Managing Director of the bank.
