Two killed in separate accidents

NEW DELHI: Two young men were killed in separate hit-and-run cases reported in the city on Friday.

According to the police, a 23-year-old man was run over by an unidentified vehicle at Defence Colony early in the morning. The victim, Jojo, was a resident of Moti Bagh and working with Oberoi Hotel as a steward.

In another accident, a 28-year-old man, Rambabu Singh from Bihar, was knocked down by a speeding Qualis at Ansari Nagar while crossing the road.

Traders meet L-G

NEW DELHI: Leaders of the CAIT on Friday met the officiating Lieutenant-Governor of Delhi, A.R. Kidwai, and put forward a demand to review and amend the Master Plan for Delhi- 2021 keeping the interests of traders in mind.

CAIT secretary-general Praveen Khandelwal said they had demanded that all business establishments existing on December 31, 2006 be regularised without any categorisation. They argued that Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy had assured them relief in MPD-2021.
