Dharmapuri: The District Election Department has deleted the names of 120 voters, who have shifted residence, from the electoral rolls. According to a release, the exercise of verification and photographing of voters is underway in all Assembly constituencies in Dharmapuri district. As part of the exercise, notices were issued to 120 voters who had shifted residence before deleting their names. Officials had asked the voters to appear in person before the Village Administrative Officers with proof of residence and photographs to get Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC). As they failed to appear before the stipulated time, their names were deleted.
