BANGALORE: To enable urban local bodies to prepare project reports on development for basic services to urban poor, the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP), in coordination with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, organised a workshop in the city on Friday. According to a press release, the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) Commissioner K. Jairaj, who addressed the participants at the workshop, stressed the need for importing talent and skill from various fields for the successful implementation of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). Mr. Jairaj said the companies that executed the projects and the BMP officials should ensure that the allocations were spent judiciously.
Deadlines
Directing the officials to ensure that the stipulated deadlines were met, Mr. Jairaj also advised them to properly plan before starting with the detailed project reports.
