It's all in the name

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Innovation at any level is welcome. Even if it sounds strange.

For example, producers of the film `Muni' recently announced that anyone with the name `Muni' or those who have it as a part of their name could participate in a song sequence in the film.

Asian Sky Entertainment (ASE) and Gemini Productions hit on this novel idea for their audio launch. They have received nearly 3,000 responses as of now.

"We have asked them to come with proof of their name for verification," said ASE Chief executive officer Nag Ravi.

The audio launch is on January 10 in Chennai.

All those eligible will arrive at the `Muni' temple near Nandambakkam. They have all been asked to dress in black for the shooting.

On arrival, the visitors will collect food, gift coupons and pose for a photograph with the stars.

They would then get a chance to act in the song sequence `Varaanda Muni.'

Director Saran has produced the movie. Ragavendra Lawrence is the director.
