GANDHINAGAR: Only "initial exercises" have so far been completed on Moninder Singh Pandher and Surendra Koli, charged with the Noida serial murders, at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) here. Deputy Director S.L. Bhaya declined to give any detail of the tests conducted. She only said "psychological profiling" was undertaken on Saturday, and "initial exercises" were completed before carrying out gruelling tests. The duo was taken to the Gandhinagar Civil Hospital for check-up and tests to ascertain their fitness to undergo the narco analysis. The FSL authorities had earlier said that it might take at least four days before narco analysis, brain fingerprinting, and lie detector tests could be completed. Moninder and Surendra were brought here under heavy police escort from Delhi on Friday. They were initially put under observation at the FSL before the psychological, medical and physical tests to ascertain their fitness and their level of co-operation. They were kept away from the media and no one was allowed to approach either them or their police escorts. The father of a 12-year-old boy from Vadodara, "missing" for the last 14 months, has approached the Vadodara Police Commissioner to match his DNA report with the skeletal remains recovered from Noida. He has also written to Chief Minister Narendra Modi requesting his intervention. According to Subhash Tripathi, his son Saurabh was missing since October 2005. In case, the Noida killers had spread their tentacles, it was possible that many more innocent children like his son could have become their victims, he said.
