NIZAMABAD: The "Indur Prajagarjana-Telangana Aata Pata" jointly organised by Telangana Sadana Samiti (TSS) and Telangana Vidyarthi Sangham (TVS) on the Government Polytechnic grounds here on Friday evoked a good response. Braving chill weather, the gathering listened to speeches of balladeer Gaddar, TSS leader T. Bellaiah Naik and TVS convener Rajaram Yadav. A number of artistes representing different folk arts enthralled the audience with their song and dance performances. In his address, laced with witty comments on the Congress and the Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Mr. Gaddar explained why he and his troupe were touring the entire region.
Injustice
It was the need of the hour for everyone in Telangana to fight for his rights, he added. He observed that injustice was done to Telangana in all fields and it would not stop until the region was separated from unified Andhra Pradesh. "If we want land, water and employment we should have our own State first," he contended. Senior artiste Dappu Ramesh and Nernala Kishore attended.
