HYDERABAD: An unidentified man aged about 30 was found murdered -- head smashed with a boulder -- in roadside bushes close to Aramghar crossroads in Rajendranagar on Saturday. This is the third murder reported in Rajendranagar in the past week. Two persons -- Dastagiri, 28, and his nephew Mohammed, 22 -- were murdered in similar fashion in the hillocks of Babulreddynagar on Tuesday last. Going by the modus operandi and other `clues', police believe a gang of offenders, killing persons for small amounts after luring them to secluded places by offering liquor, was responsible for all the three murders. "It is yet to be ascertained if the gang killed more persons," an officer said. A woman Radhabai, 35, living in Malakpet of the city, was murdered by two persons at a secluded place near Kothuru railway station of Mahbubnagar district on Wednesday. The Kothuru police said two men were seen accompanying the woman into the bushes on Wednesday.
Offering liquor
"They seem to have lured the woman there by offering liquor ," the police said. The killers took away her `mangalasutra' and gold earrings. The police suspect the same gang might have killed all the four persons. Rajendranagar ACP Mahipal Reddy made it clear that the three murders were not akin to the serial killings of children in Noida as reported by some television news channels.
