Scorpio `thief' arrested

HYDERABAD: City police on Saturday arrested P. Ravi Kiran, 23, who allegedly took away a Scorpio vehicle from its driver at gunpoint at Necklace road four months ago. The Scorpio and another Qualis vehicle, also stolen by Kiran, and two country-made pistols with 10 live rounds were recovered from him. On a tip-off, a special team led by Hyderabad Detective Department Inspector G. Jogaiah caught Kiran at Padmaraonagar while he was going in the Qualis. Based on his confession, the vehicles and firearms were recovered. Kiran's associate Praveen, was already arrested a month ago.
