Accused in spurious drug case held

HYDERABAD:
CID sleuths on Friday have arrested Rami Reddy Pandu Rangadu, an accused in a spurious drug case and against whom a non-bailable warrant was pending since 2001.
Rami Reddy, who was nabbed from Satyavedu in Chittoor district, was brought to Hyderabad and produced before the court on Saturday.
He is an accused in a case of illegal manufacturing of Anti-D vaccine under the brand name Rhoclone and circulating the same in the market.
The case was registered by the Abids police in 2001 and later transferred to the CID who filed a chargesheet in 2004 against the 25 accused persons.
The kingpin in the case Sarvanan was arrested along with the other accused earlier, according to a CID release.
