Two found dead

KOCHI: The Kalamassery police are investigating the death of two persons - Razak, 37, hailing from Ranni, and Raheem, 35, from Vattekkunnam, near Kalamassery - whose bodies were found on Saturday morning. Razak's body was found in Elamakkara area around 7 a.m. and that of Raheem was found near a water tank in the Kalamassery industrial area around 10.30 a.m. The bodies have been sent to Alappuzha Medical College for post-mortem. - Staff Reporter

Seminar held

KOCHI: An international seminar on HIV and AIDS was hosted by Ernakulam Social Service Society at Ashirbhavan on Saturday. Cardinal Wilfrid Napier, Archbishop of Durban, delivered the keynote address. The Cardinal gave a presentation on the HIV/AIDS scenario in South Africa. Dr. Joseph Karikkassery, Auxiliary Bishop of Varappuzha, delivered the presidential address. - Staff Reporter

Death anniversary

KOCHI: International Forum for Cultural Heritage and Tradition held a memorial meeting on Saturday on the eighth death anniversary of Bishop Joseph Kureethara, the 33rd bishop of the Diocese of Cochin. Austin Paul, president of the forum, presided over the meeting. Shani Fernandez, city counsellor, inaugurated the meeting. - Staff Reporter
