DHARWAD: Pawan English Medium School won its first league match, beating KPES School, in the first inter-school under-15 cricket tournament for the Saptagiri Trophy here on Sunday. Batting first, Pawan made 125 for four in 25 overs. In reply, KPES was bowled out for 76, thanks to Amogh Yaligar who finished with six for seven. Assistant Commissioner of Dharwad district, Mohan Sasanur, and writer Mohan Nagammanavar inaugurated the tournament. The scores: Pawan 125 for four in 25 overs (Sanket Diwan 27) bt KPES 76 in 17.1 overs (Amogh Yaligar six for seven).
