Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda
CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday sought cooperation of the people so that the State could be made number one in the country. Addressing a rally organised by MLA Nripender Singh at Dadri in Bhiwani district, he said that he was serving the State with the blessings of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the cooperation of party MLAs. Mr. Hooda maintained that his regime was committed to make available sufficient water and power and to further improve the law and order situation for the integral development of the State. He reiterated that efforts were on to generate 5,000 additional MW of power during the next three-and-a-half years to meet the growing demand of power and ensure at least 20 to 22 hours of power supply. And the BML Hansi Bhutana Canal, when completed, would ensure equitable distribution of water. Big industries were coming up to generate more avenues of employment so that unemployment could be eradicated. "No family would be without work during the next year,'' he asserted. The Chief Minister announced that a Railway overbridge would be constructed on Dani Railway Crossing next year. A waterworks was being constructed at village Kapuri RamNagar and it would be completed by March 31, 2008. He also sanctioned Rs. 81 lakhs for sewage system of Dadri and approved the construction of Sainik Parivar Bhawan and a hostel at Dadri. He also sanctioned an Industrial Training Institute at village Rawaldhi besides the construction of a four-lane road from Dadri to Loharu Chowk. He also sanctioned a by-pass for Dadri which would be completed during the next two years. Also, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) would float two new sectors in Dadri. Among others who spoke were Member of Parliament Deepender Singh Hooda, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir Singh and Congress Working President Ram Parkash and several MLAs. Later, addressing the lawyers at a function organised by the Bar Association, he urged them to work towards provision of speedy justice to the people.
