Noida killings accused undergo brain mapping

Manas Dasgupta

GANDHINAGAR : The Noida serial killing suspects, Moninder Singh Pandher and Surendra Koli, were once again put through lie detector and brain mapping tests at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Gandhinagar on Sunday.

The FSL Director, J. M. Vyas, said since the two were alleged to be involved in multiple murders, there was a need for the tests to be done for a second time. He declined to give any further detail or the outcome of the tests carried out on the duo so far.

PTI reports from Gandhinagar: Pandher was rushed to the city's civil hospital following "mild health complications," police said.

Pandher, a diabetic, was wheeled into the civil hospital where doctors were trying to stabilise his blood sugar level.

A senior official of the Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS) here, where he and a co-accused are being subjected to tests, said Pandher's condition was stable and doctors were only attending to his complaint of a stomach pain and trying to bring his blood sugar level to normal.

Doctors at the civil hospital did not say if Pandher would be admitted to the intensive care unit for the night for observation. However, the entire hospital was put under tight security cover after he was rushed there late this evening.

Fatehpur : Blamed for failing to handle the Noida serial killing case properly , Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday said the Centre had turned a blind eye to crimes committed in Delhi, Assam and Maharashtra.

Mr. Yadav accused the Congress and the BJP of playing politics over the serial killings in Noida and claimed that the Raj Bhavan had become a "hub of conspiracies" against him.

Mr. Yadav was addressing a programme organised to distribute `Kanya Dhan' and unemployment allowance cheques here.

He alleged that the BJP and Congress had join hands to destablise his Government and impose Central rule in the State.

He warned the Centre not to think of imposing President's rule in the State.
