Power shutdown

Good Samaritan award

The Automobile Association of Southern India annual Ravindran Memorial Good Samaritan award was given to Prabhu of Athimanam village of Chengalpattu Taluk. He saved a man when his car collided with a lorry and carried him to the nearest hospital on his motorcycle.

Fine arts club inaugurated

Shree Chandrarabhu Jain College inaugurated its fine arts club on January 5. Students put up a performance of dance, mimicry, and music.

Last date extended

Apparel Training and Design Centre, under Apparel Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Textile, Government of India has extended the last date for receipt of applications to January 18, 2007 for the new session of Diploma in Apparel manufacturing Technology, Certificate Courses in Production Supervision/ Quality Control, Pattern Cutting Masters' Course, Apparel Merchandising and Computer Aided Design commencing this month.
