Man refuses to go with wife

BANGALORE: In a strange case, a youth who was on Monday produced by the Kolar police before the High Court refused to go with his wife who had filed a habeas corpus petition. A Division Bench comprising Justice H.L. Dattu and Justice Anand Byrareddy had pulled up the Kolar police for failing to find out the whereabouts of Venkat Shiva Reddy of Gudibande in Kolar district, who had been missing for some time, and directed the Kolar police Superintendent of Police, Circle Inspector and Sub-Inspector of Gudibande to be present. The Government submitted that the youth had been traced. When the youth refused to go with his wife, the Bench asked the couple to go to a Family Court or jurisdictional court.
