Public warned

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department has warned the public against accepting ration cards that are reportedly being distributed by some voluntary organisations.

In a press release on Monday, the department said that it had come to its notice that a few organisations had been distributing their own forms or forms photocopied from the original at K.R. Puram, Devasandra, Bsavangar, Vibuthinagar, Marathahalli, Doddenkundi, Bansaswadi, Lingarajpuram and surrounding areas. The department has asked people to directly contact its office and provide the requisite information such as residential proof upon which ration cards would be given to them.

It has also requested people to bring to its notice any unauthorised ration cards .
