Malabar region proves its talent
Kozhikode district has proved its talent in the cultural field by coming second in the 10th State Higher Secondary Youth Festival, which concluded in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday.
It was placed joint second with Kannur district, with both scoring 364 points. Another feather in the cap of the district is the third position among schools secured by Silver Hills Higher Secondary School, with 61 points.
The district has been retaining its position of eminence in the festival over the years.
The Silver Hills school has also been in the fore, winning many titles.
Principal George Punchayil attributes the school's success to talented students, nurtured by a dedicated team of teachers.
Palakkad district won the first position in the festival, followed by Kannur and Kozhikode, adding glitter to the Malabar region.
