ERODE: Three persons, including two women, were killed on the spot in a road accident on Tuesday afternoon. According to police, a tanker lorry carrying aviation fuel was proceeding from Mettur to Coimbatore when the driver lost control and hit four persons standing on the road near Kuruppanaickkenpalayam, Bhavani. Govindammal, Sakunthala and Mariappan died on the spot. The driver Ramachandran has been arrested.Thilagavathy who suffered injuries has been admitted to a hospital.
