India-Pakistan veterans' series
KOZHIKODE: India and Pakistan will play a three-match veterans' one-day series next month.
The matches will be played at Udaipur (February 23), Kozhikode (Feb. 25) and Meerut (Feb. 27), according to J.K. Mahendra, vice-president, Board for Veteran Cricket in India, who was here on Tuesday.
"Mohammad Azharuddin and Abdul Qadir will be the captains," he said.
"Syed Kirmani, Manoj Prabhakar, Venkatesh Prasad, Robin Singh, Nayan Mongia, Praveen Amre, Venkatapathy Raju, Rajesh Chouhan, Sanjeev Sharma, Vivek Razdan, Atul Wassan, David Johnson and Atul Badade are among the Indian probables," he added.
"We are also expecting a strong side from Pakistan, which could include Waqar Younis, Aamir Sohail, Rashid Latif, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ijaz Ahmed, Shoaib Mohammed, Aaqib Javed, Mansoor Akhtar, Mohsin Kamal and Asif Mujtaba." Principal Correspondent
