Three-member delegation announced Hurriyat leaders asked to wait
SRINAGAR:
The moderate faction of the Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is all set to visit Pakistan on January 17 and further the triangular dialogue process. It is also keen on meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh before the visit, which the top official sources said was unlikely.
An extraordinary meeting of the Hurriyat executive on Monday decided to send a three-member delegation to Pakistan headed by the Mirwaiz with Abdul Gani Bhat and Bilal Gani Lone as other members.
The Hurriyat sources said that it was committed to the triangular dialogue process, which began soon after the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road was thrown open in April 2005.
