HUBLI: Elections to urban local bodies and appointments to boards and corporations are the two main issues that will be discussed at the next coordination committee meeting of the coalition partners, BJP State unit president D.V. Sadananda Gowda has said. Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, he said that the BJP would prevail upon its coalition partners to conduct elections to the urban local bodies within the stipulated time. "We are ready with our list for appointments to the boards and corporations and will ask our partners to finalise their list immediately and complete the process at the earliest", he said. To a query, Mr. SadanandaGowda said that the decisions taken in the coordinating committee would be final. No outside force would interfere in the functioning of the Government, he said
The decision to make alliances in the local elections would be left to the local party units. But there would be no tie-up with the Congress, he added.
Tour of districts
Mr. Sadananda Gowda said he would be touring the districts in the next three months to prepare ground for the urban local bodies elections. A team of around 2,000 activists would be formed, he said. On Basanagouda Yatnal, he said that a confidential report had been submitted to the BJP's central committee. Mr. Sadananda Gowda clarified that he had no differences with Ananthkumar, MP.
