Cycle Brand Kids posts win
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cycle Brand Kids CC defeated State Bank of Travancore `B' by five runs in the first semifinal of the Capt. Jerry Premraj Memorial Twenty20 cricket tournament here on Tuesday.
SBT, which needed 10 runs from the last over, lost three wickets including that of the top scorer Anil Kumar (41) and could manage only four runs.
In the second semifinal, Ranji CC beat Pankajakasturi CC by seven wickets.
The scores: Cycle Brand Kids CC 125 for nine in 20 overs (Arun Parameshwaran 47) bt SBT `B' 120 for eight in 20 overs (Anil Kumar 41, Madan Mohan four for 12). Pankajakasturi CC 127 in 19.4 overs lost to Ranji CC 130 for three in 17.5 overs (Rohan Prem 62 n.o.).
