ANANTAPUR: Critic and veteran journalist R.V. Rama Rao has attributed the increasing attacks on Marxism over the last decade to failure in implementation of the ideology. But, there have been no lapses in the objectives of left movements. Speaking at the inaugural session of the 10th State congress of Janasahiti, a left wing literary organisation, at Tarimela village of Singanamala mandal in the district on Monday, he suggested to all the organisations working with left ideology to come under one umbrella. He hailed Prajasahiti, a monthly magazine being brought out by Janasahiti, for spreading the left ideology. Issues being raised by them were strong and pertinent to present times, said representative of Abhyudaya Rachayitala Sangham and member of State Official Languages Committee R. Chandrasekhara Reddy. President of Janasahiti B. Suryasagar said they were holding the congress to give an ideological direction to writers and poets in the backdrop of globalisation being pursued with imperialism. He expressed concern at the present day situation which was wiping out Indian culture. Besides, general secretary of Janasahiti K. Ravibabu, Shashikala of Viplava Rachayitala Sngham and others also spoke. Earlier, working editor of Prajasahiti Nirmalanda hoisted the organisation's flag. He also released a compilation of essays Jignasa Tharangalu written by V. Kameshwara Rao.
