NEW DELHI:
The Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) is organising a series of events including a workshop and a film festival to promote the concept of road safety in India and other developing countries.
The three-day international workshop on road safety education organised by IRTE, a member of the United Nations Global Safety Collaboration, will begin this Thursday at India Habitat Centre here.
The workshop, sponsored by the Department of Road Transport and Highways and supported by other national and international organisations, will be inaugurated by Delhi Police Commissioner K. K. Paul.
An international film festival will showcase films on road safety. The best entries will be awarded and nominated for the International Road Safety Film Festival organised by Laser Europe.
