Cleft lip surgery project

BANGALORE: Minister for Health and Family Welfare R. Ashok on Tuesday inaugurated the cleft lip and cleft palate surgery project at the M.S. Ramaiah Hospital here. The project, being jointly organised by the hospital and Rotary Bangalore North, envisages corrective surgery for children from economically weaker sections. Over 40 children from different parts of the State have enrolled for the surgery.

Gokula Education Foundation Chairman M.R. Jayaram said the project would be on till January 20 and appealed to the public to make use of the project. A team of doctors and staff from M/s Rotaplast International, USA, is performing the surgery.
