Huge cache of arms recovered in J&K

SRINAGAR: Security forces on Tuesday recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives, including a sniper rifle and 28 grenades of various types, from two militant hideouts in separate operations in Kupwara and Anantnag districts of Jammu and Kashmir, a police spokesman said here.

Acting on a tip-off, security forces smashed a militant hideout at Mazmoon top near the Line of Control (LoC) in Karnah sector in Kupwara district, the spokesman said.

He said a search of the hideout led to the recovery of a sniper rifle and its magazine having 101 rounds, a pistol with two magazines - PTI
