Special trains for Pongal

CHENNAI: Southern Railway will run the following special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during Pongal holidays.

Chennai Egmore - Nagercoil Specials: Train No. 0615 will leave Chennai Egmore at 8.15 p.m. on January 10 and 14 and reach Nagercoil at 10.45 a.m., the next day. In return direction, train No. 0616 will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. on January 11and 15 and arrive Egmore at 4.30 a.m., the next day.

Train No. 0615 will leave Chennai Egmore at 7 p.m. on January 16 and reach Nagercoil at 8.15 a.m., the next day. In return direction, train No. 0616 will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. on January 17 and arrive Egmore at 4.30 p.m., the next day. Train No.0620 will leave Nagercoil at 8.30 p.m. on January 10, 12 and 16 and arrive Egmore at 9.30 a.m., the next day. In the return direction, train No. 0619 will leave Egmore at 8.15 p.m. on January 11, 13, and 17 and reach Nagercoil at 10.45 a.m., the next day. Train No.0617 will leave Egmore at 7 p.m., on January 15 and reach Nagercoil at 8.15 a.m., the next day.

Nagercoil-Chennai Central Special (Via Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Erode and Salem):

Train No.0630 will leave Nagercoil at 10 p.m. on January 14 and arrive Chennai Central at 4.30 p.m., the next day.

Chennai Central-Coimbatore Specials: Train No. 0608 will leave Coimbatore at 11.45 p.m., on January 16 and arrive Central at 8.30 a.m., the next day. In the return direction, train No. 0607 will leave Central at 10.20 p.m., on January 17 and reach Coimbatore at 7.15 a.m., the next day.

Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram Specials: Train No. 0631 will leave Central at 10 p.m., on January 11, 14, and 16 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 4.30 p.m., the next day. In the return direction, train No.0632 will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 8 p.m., on January 12, 15, and 17 and arrive Central at 12.15 p.m., the next day. Train No. 0627 will leave Central at 4 p.m., on January 13 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7 a.m., the next day. In the return direction, train No.0628 will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 10.30 a.m., on January 14 and arrive Central at 4 a.m., the next day.

Advance reservation will commence on Wednesday.
