Sanskrit scholar dead

CHENNAI: Ranganayaki Raghavachari (92), a Sanskrit and Hindi scholar, died here on Tuesday, after a brief illness.

She was one of the first graduates of the Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha.

She is survived by her son C.R.L. Narasimhan, Associate Editor of The Hindu , and her daughter Dr. Meera Rajagopalan.
