GANDHINAGAR: Lie-detector, brain-fingerprinting and narco-analysis were done on both the accused in the Noida serial killings, Moninder Singh Pandher and Surinder Koli, at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) here on Tuesday. FSL director J. M. Vyas, briefing mediapersons, said all tests were completed. The two would, however, be called again to check their health. On Wednesday they are likely to be taken back to Noida, where they will have to be produced in court for further remand. Their police remand ends on Wednesday evening. Mr. Vyas declined to give any detail of what Moninder and Surinder revealed during the tests except saying the "subjects were comfortable and in good health during the tests." The Gandhinagar Civil Hospital civil surgeon was present when Moninder underwent narco-analysis FSL deputy director S. L. Bhaya said, "We probed both what the accused had to say on the serial murders as well as what the investigators wanted to find out from them." Mr Vyas said it would be some time before the FSL drew any conclusion from the tests. "So far we were only recording what they had to say. We will now start data analysis and interpretation to arrive at a conclusion." It would be 10-15 days before the analysis was completed and the report would be sent in a sealed cover to the Noida chief judicial magistrate. FSL sources said though Moninder, who was discharged from the civil hospital in the morning after a nightlong watch to check his blood sugar, was taken for the narco-analysis test around 2 p.m., the actual operation began only after 3 p.m. as he had developed some complications. The civil surgeon and other medical officers from the civil hospital were called to the FSL for checking his condition. The FSL had completed lie-detector and brain-fingerprinting tests on the duo on Sunday. During the narco-analysis test conducted under "truth serum," Moninder, it is learnt, was put questions to corroborate what Surendra Koli revealed during his narco-analysis test. For the last two nights, Moninder was being taken to the civil hospital every evening for checking his blood sugar level before he could be put under narco-analysis test, as he is a diabetic patient.
