BANGALORE: A 29-year-old woman, mother of two, was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband in Chandra Layout police station limits on Monday night. The police gave the name of the victim as Jyothi, a garment factory employee and wife of Kumar (39), a resident of Sanjeevininagar on Moodalapalya Road. Following a dispute with her husband, Jyothi was living in her father's house for the past one week. Around 8 p.m. on Monday when Jyothi was returning to her father's house from work, Kumar stopped her on Moddalapalya Road and forced her to come home. When she refused, he reportedly stabbed Jyothi in the chest with a knife even as their six-year-old son, Somashekar, watched in horror, police said. When Jyothi screamed and collapsed on the road, her colleagues and passers-by rushed her to a private hospital where she was declared brought dead, police said. On a complaint by Jyothi's father Shivalingaiah, the Chandra Layout police have registered a case . Jyothi had married Kumarseven years ago.
Knocked down
One person was killed and his two friends were injured when a private bus rammed their motorcycle near Ullas cinema in RMC Yard police station limits around 11.30 p.m. on Monday. Police gave the name of the dead as Ravichandra (25) .
