Personal touch lost

BANGALORE: Whenever R. Bhanu of Kumara Park needed to make pulao, she used to go to the shop of one Sanaullah who would toss spices into a pestle and mortar and give her the perfect blend. After the shop moved away, she has never been able to get that personalised service — nor make the perfect pulao.

Monthly purchase of groceries was not a problem till the shop was there. She would even call Mr. Sanaulla to give a list of the things she needs.
