Centre to decide soon on 2nd SRC
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday said the Government would hold discussions with constituents of the UPA on the suggestion that a second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC) be set up to go into the issue of demands of separate States, including Telangana.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said the Prime Minister told this when he met him to communicate the outcome of the discussions at the brainstorming session of Andhra Pradesh Congress last week.
Earlier, the party general secretary said he had already communicated to Congress president Sonia Gandhi the suggestion for setting up a second SRC, a resolution that the Congress Working Committee had taken several years ago.
